Officials in Texas say there have been two separate shooting incidents in the capital of the southern U.S. state. 

Local media reports say one woman was killed and there are multiple victims from the shootings early Sunday in Austin.

Police say the shooting areas have been secured.

Austin police have warned people to stay away from the downtown area. 

The recent targeting and killing of police officers during a peaceful march in Dallas, protesting police brutality, has police forces across the country, especially Texas, on high alert.
