At Least 50 Killed in Boko Haram Attack in Northeastern Nigeria

Scores of people are feared dead after Boko Haram militants attacked a village on the outskirts of Maiduguri in northeastern Nigeria.

Witnesses says the militants attacked the town of Dalori late Saturday shooting residents and burning down homes and residences.

The Associated Press reports a soldier saying three female suicide bombers detonated explosives among a group of residents causing additional casualties.

Residents say at least 50 people were killed in the violence.

Boko Haram is mostly based in northeast Nigeria, but the militant group this year has intensified its campaign, setting up camps and launching attacks in neighboring Cameroon, Chad and Niger.
