Female US Pilot, 94, Honored for Her WWII Service

During World War II, U.S. female pilots were trained to fly noncombat missions to free male pilots for combat. They belonged to a group called the Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASP). One former WASP, Bernice Falk Haydu, 94, was recently recognized for her service with an honorary degree from Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in New York City. VOA’s Bernard Shusman reports.
